About Us

Dance Spotlight USA is a talent competition held regionally in cities throughout the US in selected venues. Dancers of all ages are invited to participate. Solos up to any size group and any style dance is welcome. Each performance receives a trophy and constructive critiques.

We produce moments for dancers, directors and family members to remember while hopefully leaving with all who participate a little more knowledge about dance and it's importance. We want everyone to feel special which is why we award trophies for every performance. We believe putting yourself out to be judged is an award winning action in and of itself! Our philosophy is to say “best dancing” because everyone has worked too hard to rely on luck. On any given day how you dance is your best dancing (for that moment). Sometimes you can dance better, perhaps this time you nailed it! but if you rely on your own best dancing you open yourself up to realize a one time shot is much more difficult than performances in a studio. Discover what needs more practice or simply what were the results of nervous jitters. We provide a small butterfly in our welcome bag tied in a mesh bag. It is a symbol to keep your butterflies under your control, butterflies always serve a purpose!

We want fun, entertainment, and positive sportsmanship, all in a warm atmosphere. We expect staff to be enthusiastic, focused and have a drive to make sure everyone is having a great time.

Friday Night Dance Experience

Our unique Friday Night Dance Experience is a dynamic motivational session sharing the attributes Dance Spotlight USA staff say make the character of the dancer! Activities, exercises and experiences that place emphasis on the importance of being your best, dancing your best, and making experiences in life, valuable ones!

Dancers get involved in developing ideas that characterize a well-rounded individual and team member, and as a bonus, a question and answer (confidentially submitted) session with actual judges from the National Dance Judges Association will allow dancers novice and experienced alike gain more knowledge of exactly what judges look for in competitions.

Registration for Friday Night Experience is $30 per dancer which includes a "box" supper and supplies to create personalized applause mates! Come share in the sportsmanship, enthusiasm, integrity, character, supportive-ness, encouragement, fun and laughs!

Friday Night Master Dance Classes

Friday Night Master Dance Classes are an exciting opportunity for dancers to learn a routine under a Master Dance Instructor. The routine learned during the class will be performed on Saturday during the competition and special awards will be given for performance, memorization and showmanship.
